California Vacation

I'm back from vacation and I have to say, it was a lot of fun. We went to Catalina Island and saw whales and dolphins on the way. We went to Hollywood numerous times and went to The Laugh Factory twice which was HILARIOUS!! ...Let's see..... we went to Malibu and lounged on the beach (which was very cold!) and cruised the PCH. It really was a great time and I am so thankful for Tyler's mom and step-dad. They wanted us to have a great time and were non-stop! I wish I got more photos, but here is what I have!

Time

It's set. The date is set. It almost didn't seem like the day would ever be a reality, but it is finally happening. Tyler went to MEPS and reenlisted. Honestly, we've been talking about it for so long that I almost doubted that it would ever happen, but it is. He is officially an active duty soldier. I'm proud of him. I really, really am; however, I'm terrified. For the time that we've been together, we've never really had too much time apart....maybe a week or two at the most. Although he's already been through basic training and AIT, he's starting all over from day one of basic, but because of what he's training for, it'll only be for about 4 monthes Then he'll move onto Airbourne school, and so on and so forth... We are guessing that he'll be gone training a total of 6-9 monthes before we both PCS. I'm happy that he will be on safe grounds and out of harms way.

With all of that said, I don't really want to say too much of what he is actually trying to do. All I can say is that he surely has the strength and mentality to do it and I know he can.

He's not leaving for about another 7 months, but I already know they will fly right by. March 27, 2012. I should be back with him in either October 2012 or December 2012.

On another note, I'll be in California come Friday for a week! I'm pretty excited and totally ready for a vacation away from Walmart. :D

Complicated

Have you ever felt like a completely complicated soul?

There are times when I feel like I'm a really hard person to figure out, and if someone were to try to put my puzzle pieces together, they would never glue me together. I have so much emotion inside of me, scars from my past that make me who I am, but they still sting sometimes. Don't get me wrong, I'm a very happy person, but I'm complicated.

Oh to be young again...

Alright, I know I'm not old, not by any means whatsoever, but, I do really, really miss everything about high school...more notably, my senior year. I've said this before, but I want to share a few photos of my senior year because I loved it so much. There were plays for drama, there was pom/cheer and all of the friends I had on the team, pep rallies, just awesome classes I had....ahhh to go back for a month...I'd be in love!

Congressively (yes, I know this isn't a real word) Cool

So...Tyler was done with the Army Reserves over a month ago, but was never given his IRR orders. He did his part, got the packet altogether, but to his chain of command, it just wasn't important. On Tuesday, he went to the Congress office and asked for them to speak to the Colonial. They did, his ass was chewed out, and Tyler's pack is now where it should of been a month ago. He's going to be signing up for Active duty here soon. He is ready for it. He's been training so hard for this. I think he'll do great. We are excited to see our news lives start off!

No, I haven't gone back to being a blonde, but I really, really, really want to. It's too fun, plus it makes my hair appear thicker...
